THE BAD NEWS

No Kevin Garnett, likely for the entire postseason. It's like finding out there's no Santa.

The Celtics begin their playoff run Saturday afternoon against Chicago. And if Kevin Garnett is there, he won't be in uniform. Here's the schedule for their first round series:

Sat 4/18 12:30 PM - Bulls @ Celtics - ESPN
Mon 4/20 7:00 PM - Bulls @ Celtics - TNT
Thu 4/23 8:00 PM - Celtics @ Bulls - TNT
Sun 4/26 1:00 PM - Celtics @ Bulls - ABC
Tue 4/28 TBA - Bulls @ Celtics*
Thu 4/30 TBA - Celtics @ Bulls*
Sat 5/2 TBA - Bulls @ Celtics*

*if necessary

The Celtics can take the Bulls without KG. There's no doubt about that. But I think now it becomes even more vital to beat the Bulls in 4 or 5 games. The Celtics can't afford a long, tiresome series then hope to do well in the Conference Semis.

And guess what, the Celtics can beat Orlando, too. It's friggin' Orlando!

A potential Conference Final against Cleveland is scary, but Cleveland might get knocked out by another team. And you never know what's going to happen in the playoffs. Remember what Kevin Garnett said...
